Plymouth University Institute of Education

South Petherwin School is an associate partnership school with the University of Plymouth.  Our headteacher, Mrs Mills, is a trained school mentor for the University of Plymouth and a member of the Primary Partnership Committee.
 
This partnership reinforces commitment to the teaching profession and improves standards of teaching in schools, colleges, training providers and other agencies.
 
We regularly have student teachers from Plymouth University in our school and have gone on to employ outstanding trainee teachers from the University.
